The retreat program at Marian provides opportunities for our students to deepen their relationship with God and with one another in a non-classroom environment. The retreats are catechetical in nature providing the students the opportunity to reflect on personal experience, to hear faith stories of others, and to have opportunities for prayer, Mass and Sacraments.
This event takes place in the Fall, and is focus on growing together as a family of Marian Knights. Students listen to talks, participate in small group discussion, games, prayer, and fellowship. The day concludes with their first celebration of Mass together as a class. Students are encouraged to continue their journey of discovering who they are in Christ, who they are in friendship with each other, and the virtues they hopr to pursue during their time at Marian.
Hard as Nails ministry, under the direction of Justin Fatica, facilities this retreat for Marian sophomores. The boys and girls will attend the retreat on separate days, and reflect on the truth that they are amazing and made in God's image. They are encouraged to follow the call of discipleship and to use their gifts to love others. For more, please visit - http://hanm.org/
The young men and women of each class once again separate for these days which focus on what it means to be a man or woman in relationship with Jesus. We will welcome retreat facilitators who guide our Juniors in reflecting on what is means to be men and women who seek virtue and who are able to listen for Jesus' call to discipleship and discernment.
The final retreat experience for Marian students takes place in the Spring and serves as a culminating event for the class. The entire class shares in a day in which they reflect and reminisce about their four years and look forward to where God will lead them as they move beyond Marian.
