Attention Mock Trial:  We will practice today from 5:30 until 7:00pm.

Attention students:  Our midwinter dance is tomorrow!  Doors open @ 7:00pm @ The Riverside Terrace and lock at 8:00pm and will go until 10:30pm.

Here is a great way for students and staff to learn more about the Church throughout world, and in particular, about the church being persecuted around the world. On February 23, Bishop Rhoades will celebrate Mass at 5:15 PM at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart (University of Notre Dame).  The film screening will take place at 6:00 PM at Washington Hall, and a reception will follow.  All are welcome, and all parts of the event are free of charge.​ See Mrs. Meyers in Campus Ministry to sign up.

Prom is on the horizon, and the junior class officers would like your help to make it a night to remember! If you are a junior and would like to serve on the prom committee, see Ms. Niespo for more information. Attention Boys’ Baseball:  Tomorrow we will practice from 1:00pm-3:00PM (Note the time change)   Please wear baseball pants.  Our first hour will be outside in the parking lot or the baseball field, so please dress accordingly.

Attention Girls’ Softball: Mondays open Gym will be from 3:30-5:30 pm.   Pitchers and Catchers Report @ 3:00pm.  Be prepared for inside and outside activities.

Attention boys’ Rugby:  We will not have open gym Monday, Feb. 20th.

Good luck to our boys’ basketball team tonight:  They travel to Penn.  JV plays @ 6:00pm & Varsity @ 7:30pm.

Come tonight, you will not regret it!  Oh, and by the way, we will have pizza!

Congratulations to the Marian Dance Team on another outstanding competition weekend! The team competed at the Westfield Invitational this weekend, the largest invitational in the state, and placed in the top 3 for both pom and jazz! The team will advance to the IHSDTA North Regional competition on February 25th.

Call-backs will be tomorrow. Feb. 9th, from 4:00-7:00pm.  ALL Auditions are in the music room. Posters with info and the full rehearsal schedule are posted throughout school.

Would you like to compete against other students from our school?  Announcing the formation of the Marian High School bowling club for 2017.  If you’re interested, or if you want more information, pick up a permission slip from Mr. Dlugosz in room 219. Our first outing will be at Chippewa Bowl on Wednesday, February 7th. Permission slips should be returned by Monday, February 6th. Also, find out how you could win a free bowling ball, courtesy of Chippewa Bowl.   All levels of experience and talent are welcome.  Try it!  Bowling might be right up your alley!

Congratulations to the Marian Dance Team on their big win at the Munster Invitational this weekend. They placed 1st in both pom and jazz, and received the sportsmanship award for the day. Awesome job, ladies!

Marian is excited to announce our second college tour, this time traveling from the historic city of Philadelphia to Washington D.C. Students will have an opportunity to visit many different types of schools and figure out the “right fit,” learn the college admissions language and understand the admissions process -- in addition to touring these exciting cities.

Marian Counseling will be hosting an informational meeting tonight at 6:30 PM in Rm 125.  Please join and learn more about this educational and fun opportunity!

On Thursday January 12th, the Environmental Club will be selling pre-orders for an official MHS 21 ounce water bottle to promote sustainability in our community. The pre-orders will cost $5, and each order includes a FREE Spirit Dress Day with sweats or jeans. The money will be collected in homeroom, and the bottles will be distributed upon delivery.
