Attention Right to Life Club members!  We are having a movie fellowship night THIS SUNDAY, at 7:00 at the auditorium in the Convent (across the street). We will be watching "Storks" and there will be popcorn! Come hang out and have fun.  This will count as an event for the March.

Attention Theology on Capp fans, come and determine the winner of this Monday's "Slider Showdown" between Mrs. Meyers' western Pulled pork and Mr. Siguenza's secret recipe Sloppy Joe sliders. Variety Show Auditions are upon us! Come sing, dance, juggle, jiggle, jump, whatever it is you do best, come show it off for a chance to be in our 2nd Annual Variety Show. Auditions are next Tuesday, January 24 from 4:30-6:30 and Wednesday, January 25 from 3:30-5:30. All auditions are in the music room. Sign-up for a time-slot at the bookstore BUT if you don't sign-up, just show up to one of the two days. Please bring all materials you need to show us one minute of your act. Questions? Ask Mrs. Malooley in room 217.

SADD Club will be making posters and prepping for the Valentine Flower Sale next Tuesday and Wednesday in Ganser's room (114) after school.  New members are always welcome!

Sports:

Do you like to bowl? Would you like to compete against other students from our school?  Announcing the formation of the Marian High School bowling club for 2017.  If you’re interested, or if you want more information, pick up a permission slip from Mr. Dlugosz in room 219. Our first outing will be at Chippewa Bowl on Wednesday, February 7th. Permission slips should be returned by Monday, February 6th. Also, find out how you could win a free bowling ball, courtesy of Chippewa Bowl.   All levels of experience and talent are welcome.  Marian bowlers:  Call us butter, ‘cause we’re on a roll!

Attention all girls interested in playing tennis this spring:  We will have a mandatory meeting today after school in Mr. Tryniecki’s room # 218.  If you cannot attend, you must talk to Anna Garatoni to get all required information about the upcoming season and to sign up.

Attention boys’ baseball:  We will have open gym Monday, Jan 23rd & Thursday Jan. 26th from 7:30- 9:00pm.

Attention all girls running track:  Winter conditioning will start on Monday, Jan. 23rd.  We will meet upstairs in the hallways and practice from 3:30 - 5:00pm.

Marian is excited to announce our second college tour, this time traveling from the historic city of Philadelphia to Washington D.C. Students will have an opportunity to visit many different types of schools and figure out the “right fit,” learn the college admissions language and understand the admissions process -- in addition to touring these exciting cities.

Marian Counseling will be hosting an informational meeting tonight at 6:30 PM in Rm 125.  Please join and learn more about this educational and fun opportunity!

Attention Liturgical Choir. We will have a mandatory rehearsal today during homeroom in preparation for Mass on Thursday. thank you for your attendance.

This Sunday will be the first day of Intramural basketball. It goes from 6-8 pm. If you have not participated in a sport this academic year, you must fill out a concussion awareness form. Pick them up from Mr. Mullins, Room 210. If you do not have one filled out, you cannot play. Bring your team. If you do not have a team, we will find you one. Always check Mr. Mullins' Intramural Basketball Teacher Page for possible cancellations due to weather or family emergencies before you depart for the gym on Sundays.

On Thursday January 12th, the Environmental Club will be selling pre-orders for an official MHS 21 ounce water bottle to promote sustainability in our community. The pre-orders will cost $5, and each order includes a FREE Spirit Dress Day with sweats or jeans. The money will be collected in homeroom, and the bottles will be distributed upon delivery.

Our Boys’ Basketball team is playing in the Hickory Classic in Knightstown, IN, this Saturday, January 14th, @ 4:15.  Seating is very limited, therefore, it is recommended to purchase a pre-sale ticket.  They are available in the bookstore  for $12 each.

This week is international Hour of Code week!  Today after school, come by the computer lab, Rm 203, and learn to program!  Make your own Angry Birds app, create art, send a Flappy game you made to a friend's phone, construct a 3D sphere, or use the Minecraft or Star Wars universes to code a unique game.  All are welcome!
