DRAMA CLUB UNITE!  After a LOOOOOONG hiatus, we will meet one final time to plan for next year and play some games. Come immediately after school until 3:30 today n Mrs. Malooley's room, 217.

Spirit Night, Spirit Night, Spirit Night!  To learn more about this FUN experience, the DVD from Pennsylvania will be shown at a watch party during all lunches on Thursday.  Spirit Night Overall Captain applications are due on FRIDAY.  We need two captains for the blue team and two captains for the white team.  Applications are available at Mrs. Imus' counter and can be turned in to Miss Poythress.  To win the first 10 points for your team, submit tshirt design by Friday depicting "Knight Nation" for spirit shirts.  The winner of the design contest, our Overall Captains and the theme will be announced at the end of school on Tuesday!

It is that time of the year, where you need to begin cleaning out your locker. All locker decorations are to be removed from the outside of lockers by Friday, May 19. Any decorations not removed will be removed over the weekend. Next week, Homeroom time will be provided to allow students to clean out the insides of their lockers.

Detention Notices have gone out to students with overdue library materials. The detention serve date is todayTo avoid this detention, immediately return your material to the library, and your name will be deleted from the list to be given to Mr. Dainty.

Marian HS is offering Athletic Physicals on Tuesday, May 16th after school in the BCAC.  Cost is $25.  Physical forms were passed out in homeroom today.  Part of the form needs to be filled out and signed by a parent prior to Tuesday.

Attention GIrls’ basketball:  Open gym will begin @ 3:45 not 3:30 today.

Attention girls’ tennis:  Both Varsity and JV players on the tennis team must report to the north lot at 3:30 for our trip to Penn.  Match begins @ 4:30 @ Leeper Park.  Good luck ladies!

Good luck to our boys’ baseball team tonight:  Varsity travels to Riley and play @ 5:00pm and JV travels to Jackson and also pays @ 5:00pm.

A Marian Fine Arts Festival for the 500!  The Fine Arts department encourages the entire school and their friends and families to attend Marian’s Fine Arts Festival TONIGHT   from 7-9! IT’S FREE and open to the public! If you were in any art class  this year, YOUR work will be on display! Senior’s will have exhibits celebrating their own collection of work over the past 4 years.  The Show Choir, and Individual singers and musicians and will also be performing! ALL students who took an ART CLASS this year (Fall and Spring!) your work will be on display TONIGHT for the FINE ARTS FESTIVAL!  We want your presence there! Join us tomorrow evening!  TOMORROW, from 7-9 in the BCAC to enjoy the arts- Free of charge!

A Marian Fine Arts Festival for the 500!  The Fine Arts department encourages the entire school and their friends and families to attend Marian’s Fine Arts Festival TOMORROW, THURSDAY from 7-9! IT’S FREE and open to the public! If you were in any art class  this year, YOUR work will be on display! Senior’s will have exhibits celebrating their own collection of work over the past 4 years.  The Show Choir, and Individual singers and musicians and will also be performing! ALL students who took an ART CLASS this year (Fall and Spring!) your work will be on display TOMORROW for the FINE ARTS FESTIVAL!  We want your presence there! Join us tomorrow evening!  TOMORROW, from 7-9 in the BCAC to enjoy the arts- Free of charge!

This is a great time to have fun with friends who did not attend the prom.  Tickets are available at the Bookstore!  Please stop by and get yours!  See Mrs. Ganser or Mrs. Dance if you have questions.

In celebration of Earth Day 2017 on Saturday, your Environmental Club is offering free flowers for you to plant in a garden, keep in a pot, or give to someone who needs a splash of color in their life.  They will make a great early Mother’s Day present and are bee, butterfly, and hummingbird-friendly.  You can carry them home in disposable water bottles that have been re-purposed and still recyclable after you are done using them. Come by Mr. Mullins’ room 210 after school today to pick one up, while supplies last.

Are you someone who LOVES to create with words!  Have you been just WAITING for a creative writing avenue to view your work?  Do you write poetry or short stories?  Than you are JUST the person we are looking for!  Marian is creating a ROUND TABLE Magazine, which is a collection of artwork, short stories, poems, haiku and all things beautiful that will be published in May!  Send all of your writings to Mrs. Gunty ASAP to view for submission!  It is perfectly acceptable to submit hand written work.  If needed, we will make copies for you, so you can keep your original.  You do NOT need to be in any particular class or club to submit your writings.  Again, submit all of your creative writing works to Mrs. Gunty ASAP!  We look forward to publishing your work!  The deadline to submit is today.

Were you a part of Variety Show?  Do you have a talent and want to show it off?  Want to be a part of a city-wide talent show? The City of Mishawaka is putting on a Variety Talent Show at the Battell Center open for ALL residents, ALL ages of South Bend, Mishawaka, Niles, and surrounding areas. Auditions are tomorrow, April 13th, from 6-9 and Sunday, April 23 from 2-5pm.  Both auditions are at the Battell Center.  Questions? See Mrs. Malooley.

This Easter monday we may not have school during the day, but we will have a great fellowship time at Theology on Capp.  Our guest speaker is the amazing and dynamic Fr. Attention Boys’ Baseball:  We will be a Call Out Meeting today in the BCAC room 138 at 3:30pm and open gym from 7:30 until 9:00pm in the gym.

All swimmers must return their washed parkas and gear bags to Coach Niespo ASAP.

Attention Girls’ Softball:  We have open gym Saturday from 10:00am-12:00.

Come one and all to the Marian High School Variety Show! Performances are today &  tomorrow at The Battell Center in Mishawaka @ 7:00pm. All tickets are $5 and available in the bookstore and at the door the night of the show. Come out and support a fantastic show!

A reminder to all cast of the musical:   ONLY Janet (Grace Thomas) is called for Choreo from 3:15-5:15. However, the music rehearsal call is the SAME!

Euchre club will meet today in the cafeteria at 3:15

Join the Marian Book Club today after school to discuss The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. The meeting will take place in the Loesch Family Library Conference Room at 3:15. All are welcome.

Attention Spanish Club:  Tomorrow come to Mrs. Wells' room to show off your creative side by dressing up as your favorite Latino celebrity! Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed and the meeting will start at 3:15!

Are you looking for a great way to kick off Lent? Come hear a talk from Justin Fatica and Hard as Nails Ministry tomorrow from 7-9 in the Main Gym. Justin has traveled across the country bringing a message of hope in the power of God's love. Confession will be available, admission is free, and all are welcome.

Science Olympiad team members are reminded to meet in room 103 for homeroom tomorrow.

Prom Committee, please meet in Ms. Niespo's room during homeroom tomorrow for a brief meeting. It won't be long!

The Quiz Bowl wrap-up PIZZA Party is this Friday, March 3rd,  at 3:10.

Our Spring Blood Drive will be next  Wednesday, March 8th. Those students who are 17 and wish to donate should see Mrs. Cseh during their lunch hours this week.
