Attention students:  You have until 2 pm today to cast your class officer election ballots.

Attention Liturgical Choir:  Come and sing at the Graduation Mass. Mass is on  Thursday, rehearsal begins at 5 pm. at St. Matts. Please sign up on the sheet outside the music room door. Thank you. Ms. Pingel

Attention Seniors:  If you would like to sing the Senior Song at the Morris for graduation, please sign up today on the musicroom door. Take the music and come to rehearsal Tuesday and Wednesday, immediately following last exam of the day.

Attention NHS juniors:  Ushers are needed for the graduation ceremony this Friday , June 1st.  Graduation is at the Morris Center for Performing Arts. If you are interested, see Mrs. Redinger or Mrs.Dance ASAP for details. The hours you work (5:45 pm - 7:15 pm) can count for individual service hours for next year.

Attention TARC Rocketry team:  We will have a meeting tomorrow after school in Ms. Randall's room.  Anyone who is interested in being on the team next year will also want to come.  Our mentor will attend and we will begin planning next year's rocket. See you there!

Congratulations to the following members of the girls’ track team:  For pole vault: Kassidy Chudzick.  The 4x100 relay qualifiers are:  LaLa Petty, Kassidy Chudzicki, Lindsey Matthew, & Chloe Lentych.  They will all compete in the state next Friday, June 1st.  Good luck girls!

Students may wear sweats, jeans or shorts with a spirit top for minimum donation of $1

Attention Seniors:  If you want to receive your diploma, please complete the “graduation survey” in Naviance prior to graduation.  School Counseling needs this information in order to send your final transcript to the college/university you’ve chosen to attend.  The survey is quick and easy and should only take about five minutes to complete. Please see school counseling if you have any questions.

As you recall, Marian is a Catholic Relief Services Global High School. As part of that partnership, we are working to raise awareness about issues facing our world, always learning from the past, giving aid in the present, and finding ways to bring hope in the future. In that spirit, this week is "Rwandan Awareness" week, the purpose of which is to remember the many Rwanda genocide victims of the Tutsi tribe and to honor their memory.  Also, it is a time to reflect and to raise awareness about cruel acts of genocide in our world and discuss ways to help prevent these. All students are invited to attend a movie screening today at 6:30 pm in the Marian Library. The entire Marian community is welcome - you are encouraged to bring along family and friends as well. The following day, students will be invited to participate in a Dress Down Day to support the work of CRS in Rwanda. Marian students who attend the film screening will be permitted to Dress Down for free!

Under the experienced leadership of former WNDU-TV sportscaster, Angelo Di Carlo, students will acquire skills that include:

o   Technical Board Operation

o   Writing and producing radio spots

o   Marketing

o   Social Media

o   Videos

o   Website development

o   Even On-Air commentary and reporting during broadcasts

These skills will strengthen your resume and make you more attractive to future colleges and employers. This is a competitive program that will require a formal application and interview.  For more information, come to the info session tomorrow, May 22 @ 3:15 in the library conference room You may also get information from Mr. Kirzeder.

As part of that partnership, we are working to raise awareness about issues facing our world, always learning from the past, giving aid in the present, and finding ways to bring hope in the future. A HUGE Congratulations to Mrs. Pingel and her talented music classes which ended this year with Marian's annual Spring Concert Music Program at Bethal last evening!

The Choir was fantastic, the individual singers and musicians were spectacular, the acting was very entertaining and the Drum line ended with powerful creative spark! Thank you for entertaining all of us last night! GREAT JOB!
