Students:  Please do not come to the library during lunch hours without a pass.

Attention show choir: A reminder that we have mandatory practices today and Thursday, Dec. 13th, if you want to be in the Christmas show. Please get your costume payment in asap. If you have any questions see Laura or Heather.  Be sure to check your Marian emails for updates.

Attention Mock Trial:  We will meet today and Thursday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm in room 117.  We will not meet next week.

Speech and Debate Club: There will be a meeting today at 4:30pm in Room 217.  Speech and Debate is still accepting new members, so if you want to or are thinking of joining, please talk to Mrs. Anderson in Room 118 or Dr. Metzger in Room 217.

Attention Senior Girls:  If you are interested in ordering a senior sweatshirt, please complete the order form with your payment to the attendance office or Bridget Vogel by tomorrow, Dec. 12th.  If you did not receive an order form, they are available in the main office. The Final Festive Friday Film in the library will be Home Alone. All are welcome!

Students: Gather your friends! In two months, the Marian Semi-formal will be taking place. Join us as we dance to the theme of Winter Wonderland all night long. It will warm your heart during freezing February and create long-lasting memories! Save the date: Saturday, February 16. Here's to having snow much fun!

Sports:

There will be a brief meeting on Thursday for all boys interested in playing lacrosse this spring.  Coach Macheca will meet you in room 138 at 3:10.

Congratulations to the Marian Dance Team on an outstanding first competition this weekend! The team competed at Carroll High School in Fort Wayne and placed 1st in Varsity Pom and 1st in Varsity Jazz. Excellent start to the season, ladies!

A Huge thank you to all who participated in this year’s SANTA’S WORKSHOP at the Center for the Homeless! Thank you to all who donated their time, talent and treasures to the Center for the Homeless last night! Thank you Art Club officers who organized bins, students who baked cookies; for Apisara who shopped for supplies, and for all the WONDERFUL students, faculty, staff and administration that volunteered last night to help the guests at the center experience great Christmas spirit and feel loved! Special thanks to Mr. and Ms. Ganser and family, Mrs. Cheryl Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Quiett--alas-- Mr. and Mrs.Santa Claus, Mrs. Germann,  Mrs. Dance, Ms. Randall, to the parents for their hard work and for those who transported all of the totes to and from Marian! Everyone’s participation has been fantastic! God’s blessings to all and thank you once again for a JOB well done at Santa’s workshop this year! Blessed Advent to you!!!!

Ms. Randall will not be able to have any clubs meet today after school.  See you next week though!

English 9 Honors homework for tomorrow has changed as follows: Do not read the rest of Chapter 6. Rather, go back and reread earlier chapters that you may not have read closely, annotating as you read.

Guests at the Center for the Homeless can decorate stockings and cookies, create jewelry and ornaments, wrap presents and face paint. Thanks to the generous donations of our community and the hard work of faculty members, such as Mrs. Ganser and Cheryl Madison, guests can also win prizes through the very popular Donation table. And--it would not be the same without Mrs. Quiett and her husband who yearly magically transform into Mr. And Mrs. Santa Claus!  Students...this is your opportunity to give of yourself and to fulfill service hours!  How about baking some cookies or helping children decorate a stocking or face paint? TARC Rocketry Team is meeting after school on Wednesday in Ms. Randall's room, and Robotics will go to ETHOS on Thursday this week.

Students:  This Friday, Nov. 30th, we will have a spirit day dress for our annual “Toys for Tots” campaign. Students may wear jeans, sweats or shorts with a spirit top if you donate a new unwrapped toy or $5.

WAKE UP student, faculty and staff at Marian…bells are ringing!! And we want you to know that you are invited to attend a very special Christmas party NEXT THURSDAY!  SANTA’S WORKSHOP is NEXT THURSDAY, Dec 6th, at the Center for the Homeless! So what is Santa’s Workshop? For 22 years now, Marian’s Art Club sponsors an annual Christmas Party for those who have no home to celebrate. We supply 6 craft tables for the guests at the center to make gifts for their loved ones! Guests at the Center for the Homeless can decorate stockings and cookies, create jewelry and ornaments, wrap presents and face paint. Thanks to the generous donations of our community, and the hard work of faculty members, such as Mrs. Ganser and Cheryl Madison, guests can also win prizes through the very popular Donation table. And--it would not be the same without Mrs. Quiett and her husband who yearly magically transform into Mr. And Mrs. Santa Claus!  Students...this is your opportunity to give of yourself and to fulfill service hours!  How about baking some cookies or helping children decorate a stocking or face paint? Despite several warnings to keep things clean, food remains an issue in the library, especially after school.  All food and drinks other than water, therefore, are banned from the library for the remainder of the semester. There will be zero tolerance so please keep all food and non water out of the library.

Join Father Jacob Meyer in the library after school today as he leads a discussion on the 10th anniversary of the Hunger Games. All are welcome!


Attention students: A Mass in remembrance for Raffaella Stroik, friend of many in the Marian community who passed away this week, will be held in the Marian chapel this coming Monday, November 19th at 3:10. All are welcome to attend.
