A great website to cover many sports in Germany is www.sport1.de.
The website has a top story on the front, but has headlines and summaries about many other
stories. On the left side there are links to pages for individual sports.
By clicking on one of these sports, a new page will come up with another top story for
that particular sport. On the soccer page, there are yet more links on the left side about
leagues such as the Champions League and the Premier League. The sports that sport1.de offers
are soccer, Formula 1 racing, basketball, tennis, golf, track, handball, football, boxing,
hockey, cycling, and others. This website is intended to be read by Germans, so it is
difficult to read for some of the earlier classes, but German III and IV students would
be able to understand most of the material.

The Yahoo German sport website give information about most current German sports, such as news,
scores, and upcomming events. On the Home Page there are information on car racing, hockey, skiing,
golf and soccer. The Home Page also provides links to many other sports. This will probably
be suitible for German IV and advanced German III students.

Kindernetz is a great child-oriented site. The games and puzzles encourage creativity and
reinforce educational values, while providing fun and safe entertainment for children. One
of the most interesting areas of the site is called "Bibliothek Geschichte," which is a
collection of add-on stories written by users. Anyone can log onto the site, read the stories,
and contribute their own new twist. This would be an excellent tool for those learning
German as a second language by sharpening reading comprehension skils and building vocabulary.

On this web site you can choose the country you would like to investigate. A search of
the site can be conducted by searching for what is wanted, or you can pick the area you
would like to explore with its graphical menus. The site gives information about Porsche,
Clubs, and Dealer Locations. You can get a screensaver, wallpaper, sounds, or play a game.
If the funds and need is available, you can purchase a Porsche online. The German on this site
is a little difficult in some areas, especially when 'car language' is being used to describe
what all the Porsche has under its hood and between its two doors. If there is something you do
not understand, you can go back and go to the English part of the site to understand the words
you do not.

This web site would most likely be for german 4. It is a little difficult to understand at times,
but it has a lot of interesting information about Harry Potter. The web site has news about Harry
Potter. It has information about J.K. Rowlings, and the movies. Profiles are given for the creators
of the site along with their e-mail addresses if someone wishes to contact them. This site also has a
place for fan-art of several of the characters and places from the book with a description of each.
If a person becomes a member of the site they get sorted into houses and are able to get into forums
and chatrooms.

This site would be for more excelled german students. Slightly difficult
to understand but very informative. It containes many links to other starwars related topics
I believe is one of the best site for german star wars fans out there. It contains many chat forums
and dates for conventions. There is also a online store where you can buy merchandise and other items.

This is a website for kids to learn more about this particular radio station. They can ask
questions and find out when different programs are on the air. They can
find out popular music for the month. They can also find information about the program
and the people who run the station. It is very basic German.

The website Hitparade.ch is about the top music singles and CDs for Switzerland and
surrounding countries, including Germany. This page also includes links to movie charts and other
forms of entertainment. Most of the news headlines are in English, and the articles are easy to
read also. The layout is easy to read and does not take long to get where you want to go. I
recomend this page for people who can read German, and want to know about the types of music that
Germans listen to.

This website discusses the different castles in Germany. It shows which ones are available
for people to stay in for vacations. It gives information about the different castles such
as how long you can stay in them and how much they cost. It also has links to hotels
and resteraunts throughout the area surrounding the castles. It is a very informative page
if you are interested in staying anywhere in or around a castle in Germany, or if you just
want to learn about the castles.

This Website discusses music in Germany. It has charts, bands, and about fans. It also talks
about music in the certain cities in Germany> It also shows dates and times of concerts. I think
that this is a good website to intertwine the American taste of music and Germany's taste of music.
I think this website is suitable for German II, III, and IV. German II might have a tough time with
the words but i think they could understand it for the most part
-Kyle Adams
This website talks about all things "Harry Potter". It concentrates on the books more than the films,
and is a good source of information about them. There is a lexicon explaining words and characters in the books,
the website also has a virtual owl adoption, summaries of book chapters, FAQs, links, tips, and
access to the HP international website. In the website, there are also updates about JK Rowling's
appearances around the world. This is a quality website, and should probably be read by German
3 and 4 students.
-Jessica Sisk
Neue Horizonte is a great website if you use the books. There is a great deal of information
and educational help on the website. I think it would be a great book to have in the future since
the students can access the website and have a better learning experience. There are short quizes
that are directly related to the stories which could help students prepare for tests.

My web page is on swimmng. It's all about the German teams and what meets are happening in the next
