Retreats

The retreat program at Marian provides opportunities for our students to deepen their relationship with God and with one another through personal and communion prayer and reflection, faith sharing, and personal witness, Mass and Reconciliation.

Freshmen Retreat

The Freshman Retreat takes place in the Fall, and is focused on growing together as a family of Marian Knights. Students listen to talks, participate in small group discussion, play games, pray, and enjoy fellowship. The day concludes with their first celebration of Mass together as a class.

Sophomore Retreat

Hard as Nails ministry, under the direction of Justin Fatica, facilities the retreat for Marian sophomores. The boys and girls will attend the retreat on separate days and reflect on the truth that they are amazing people made in God's image. They are encouraged to follow the call of discipleship and to use their gifts to love others.

Junior Retreat

The young men and women of the Junior class once again separate for these days which focus on what it means to be a man or woman in relationship with Jesus. Dynamic retreat speakers guide our students in reflecting on what is means to be men and women who seek virtue and who are able to listen for Jesus' call to discipleship and discernment.

Senior Retreat

The final retreat experience for Marian students takes place in the spring and serves as a culminating event for the class. Seniors look forward to where God will lead them and are encouraged and equipped to be authentic witnesses to the love of God as they move beyond Marian.

Other Retreat Opportunities:

Students have opportunities to be involved in various retreat opportunities offered through the diocese at large, area youth groups such as the Antioch Retreat Program, retreats through their parish youth ministries, the Notre Dame Vision Retreats in the summer, high school discernment retreats with the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration. The diocesan Office of Youth Ministry also offers students the opportunities to participate in Faith Fest, Panis Vitae, and a Service Immersion Week in conjunction with Holy Cross College during the summer.
