Volunteer Opportunities
The Marian Auction could not succeed without the help of our many skilled volunteers. The following is a list of our auction committees. We welcome additional volunteers at any time. Thank you for your interest!
Accounting – Collects payments for guests at the end of the auction
Catalog Advertising- Solicits ads for the catalog
Catalog Production - Typesets and composes the catalog layout
Design/Production - Creates the gym and booth designs and decorations to follow the theme
Dinner - Coordinates the supplies needed by the caterer and the serving of the dinner
Distribution - Checks out the purchased items the night of the auction and arranges large item delivery
Guest Packets - Assembles paddles, catalogs, etc. for the auction night packets
Invitations/Reservations – Helps coordinate invitation mailing and collects RSVPs for event
Oral Auction - Arranges items in display area and creates posters for the sale of these items
Patron/Underwriting – Solicits underwriting and patron sponsorship for event
Premier Silent - Arranges premier items in display area
Preview Night - Arranges Preview Night silent auction items, entertainment and refreshments for the cocktail party the night preceding the auction
Raffle – Promotes and sells raffle tickets for large auction raffle
Recording - Assigns numbers and keeps records of donated items as they are received
Set Up - Assembles booths and assists with decorations
Silent Auction - Arranges the display of silent auction items
Solicitation - Solicits businesses and individuals to obtain item donations for bid
Student Entertainment - Prepares students for musical performances for preview and auction night
Student Volunteer Coordinator - Organizes student volunteers for auction night
Tear Down - Disassembles booths and moves decorations to storage area
