Dress Code
Men’s Dress Code
Slacks
• Dress pants of any solid dark or khaki color in “Docker” style (no corduroys)
• Flat front or pleated pants (may include cargo pants)
• Belts must be worn when slacks have loops
• The hems of pants cannot be ragged or frayed
Shirts
• Polo or oxford type shirt, short or long sleeve in various colors ordered from the designated
company
• Plain crew neck undershirts may be worn under either long or short sleeve shirts
• All shirts must be tucked in at all times
Sweaters/Fleece
• Marian fleece or sweaters (crew neck, v-neck) purchased from the designated company
may be worn over a collared shirt
• No hooded sweatshirts on Monday through Thursday
Shoes
• Dress shoes must have toes and heels covered.
• Athletic shoes may be worn. The shoes may be black, white, brown and shades of black, white
and brown. No bright colors or neon colors.
• No Sandals, Moccasins/slippers (leather soles or no soles)
Spirit wear: Worn only on Fridays
• Any approved Marian spirit wear from the waist up
• Spirit wear in Marian colors of royal blue, grey or white only.
• Black shirts may not be worn as spirit wear.
Hair
• Hair shall be neat, clean, and well groomed
• Length of hair for young men must not be excessive or present a ragged, unkempt, or
extreme appearance. Hair will not be worn over the ears or eyebrows and may touch the
top of the collar but shall not extend past the top of the collar of the shirt
• Extreme hairstyles are not permitted (no hair dyed an unnatural color, shaven heads with
names, Mohawks, etc.)
• Sideburns will be neatly trimmed and will not extend below the bottom of the ear lobe.
Sideburns shall not be wider than one-inch in width.
• All males must be clean-shaven or will be required to shave and be charged $1.00 and
receive a detention.
Miscellaneous Items (hats, jewelry, sunglasses, tattoos, etc.)
• Hats shall not be worn inside the school
• Males shall not wear earrings at anytime during the normal school day
• Sunglasses shall not be worn inside the school
• No tattoos can be displayed in a conspicuous manner or location
• Males cannot wear cosmetic make-up to school
Ladies’ Dress Code
Slacks
• Dress pants of any solid dark or khaki color in “Docker” style (no capris, shorts, yoga or tight fitting pants)
• Flat front or pleated pant
• Belts must be worn when slacks have loops
• The hems of pants cannot be ragged or frayed
Skirts
• Solid navy or khaki
• Skirt length must be to the knee
• Skirt must be uniform and ordered through the bookstore or on line from Aunt Linda’s
Embroidery.
Shirts/Blouses
• Polo or oxford type shirt, short or long sleeve in various colors ordered from the designated
company
• Plain crew neck undershirts may be worn under either long or short sleeve shirts
• All shirts must be tucked in at all times

company may be worn over a collared shirt

• Dress boots are acceptable.
• Heel height may be no more than two inches (2”)
• No Sandals, Moccasins/slippers (leather soles or no soles)
