Mr. Ryan Dainty is Dean of Student Formation at Marian High School. In addition to being a skilled and effective teacher for the past several years, he also has completed a Master’s of Divinity degree. Mr. Dainty undertook intense academic study of theology, scripture, and liturgy and has been trained to be an effective minister in the Church through courses on preaching, pastoral counseling, and catechesis. Mr. Dainty will not only work with students in disciplinary situations, but will also oversee the work of Campus Ministry and student government, taking every opportunity to form students to be virtuous and prayerful men and women of God.
In addition to his new responsibilities as Dean, Mr. Dainty will continue to teach and coach. He holds his BA in Literature from the University of Tennessee. He is in his ninth year teaching and coaching at Marian High School. He has taught the AP Literature and Composition course to Juniors, and he is currently teaching The Dignity and Vocation of Man in the department of theology. He coaches Freshman and Junior Varsity Baseball. He is a past receipient of Marian's Light of Learning Award.
