Mr. Andrzejewski is currently the Science Department Chair. This year marks his 33rd year teaching at Marian. He is also a 1981 graduate of Marian. His current classes include: Honors Biology I; College Credit Biology; Advanced Science Special Topics, Research and Investigation; and Science Research, Independent Study.
He is an IU alumnus with both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree. In addition, Mr. A is a member of the Marian Curriculum Committee and a member of the Northern Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair Board.
He coaches the Marian Science Olympiad Team, and is moderator of the Comic Book Club.
During summers, he has worked as a Laboratory Technician at Notre Dame's Center for Environmental Science and Technology (CEST) and as a researcher in Notre Dame's Research Experience for Teachers (RET) Program. He has been published as a co-author in the December 1999 issue of the Journal of Chemical Education.
Mr. Andrzejewski was proud to be named Indiana High School Science Teacher of the Year for 2010 by the Sigma Xi Society for Science Research . He was also proud to receive Denison University's Outstanding Teacher Recognition in 2014, the Indiana Science & Humanities Symposium Teacher Excellence Award presented by the Academy of Applied Science in 2010, the Marian School Board's Excellence in Teaching Award in 2009, the 1999 Eli Lilly Outstanding Science Teacher Award, and the 2008 Butler University Teacher Excellence Award. He was also humbled to receive the Light of Learning Award in 2016/2017.
