Transferring to Marian
The application process for students who wish to transfer to Marian during their high school years is designed to be as simple as possible. Please follow the steps below and your student's file will be completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Once all required materials have been submitted, preferably by the end of May, potential transfer students may be contacted for an interview. Decisions are made by the Admissions Committee in June if all records and teacher recommendations have been received from the sending school.
Important Information to Consider
Students currently at another high school in the Michiana area and wishing to attend Marian during the school year are accepted only at the beginning of a semester in August or January. In the case of a recent relocation to the Michiana area, transfer students are accepted on a rolling basis until each class reaches capacity.
As part of the admissions process, a prospective transfer student to Marian High School should consider her or his eligibility for participation in interscholastic athletics. While not every transferring student will desire to compete athletically, students should be aware of the rules that govern eligibility. Please review Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) rules pertaining to transfers and athletic eligibility.
