College Visitation

COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVES VISITING MARIAN

Colleges and Universities often send representatives to Marian to interact with our students and provide more information about their institutions. The Marian Counseling Department schedules 30-minute information sessions for these representatives throughout the fall. We encourage juniors and seniors to attend. Visit the Counseling Department website pages frequently for updated information.

For College Representatives:

Greetings from Marian High School’s Counseling Department! We are happy to host colleges and universities on our campus.

Visits will be held in either the Loesch Family Library or the Counseling Office Meeting Room. Students are required to sign up for the visit at least 24 hours in advance.

Marian High School will be using Scoir to schedule college visits during the 2021-2022 school year. Please log onto your Scoir account to schedule a visit. If you have questions about the available dates, please email Heather Hundt, [email protected] to discuss how Marian High School can fit into your Fall visit schedule. Students, please follow these instructions to sign up:

- - Log onto your Scoir account.
  - Go to the Student Dashboard.
  - Click the visit listing in the Upcoming Visits tile.
  - On the Visits & Deadlines page, click View to view more details, or click Count Me In to register.
  - You will receive an email, as well as a notification in Scoir, the day before the visit reminding you of the visit date and time.
  - Print the confirmation and have your teacher sign it. This needs to happen at least one day prior to the visit.
  - Bring your confirmation signed by the teacher to the visit. This will count as your pass.

INDEPENDENT COLLEGE VISITS

During their junior year, many students will visit college campuses during the discernment process. Marian High School has a procedure in place for students to receive excused absence from school on these college visit days. Students are allowed two college visit days per semester and must return to school with a note from the college visited to receive an excused absence. Please review the Student Parent Handbook for most recent policies and procedures.
