Green Bridge Growers is looking for volunteers for a HUGE event next Thursday, April 25 after school from 3:30-5:30. If you want to help stop hunger and food insecurities in northern Indiana. Together for the Long Run’s mission is to break down the barriers of disabilities, turn “can'ts” into “cans”, and bring the community together. Sign up afterschool today in the main office or online to join us for a fun track event and to get service hours on May 10, from 6pm to 9pm.

It's prom time! Be sure to get your tickets by this Friday the 12th. No tickets will be sold after that! Tickets are 35$ per person, if you are paying with cash or check. You can use a card to pay, but the price will be 37$ per person. You can purchase tickets in Dr. Bishop's room during 6th and 8th lunch as well as after school. If you need a permission slip for your guest this must be approved by Mr. Dainty BEFORE you can buy your ticket. So avoid the rush and long lines -- buy your tickets today!

Seniors: The IUSB financial aid office is hosting a FAFSA workshop on April 12 from 3-5 to assist students with the FAFSA before the April 15th state deadline. If you can't make it to the workshop and need help, you can call the financial aid department for an appointment.

It’s time for Prom!! The Jr/Sr Prom is next Saturday the 20th. Tickets go on sale today after school in Dr. Bishop’s room. Ticket price is $35 per person. Tickets will only be on sale until this Friday, the 12th. Be sure to get yours today!

Be sure to eat a full breakfast tomorrow morning as well as lunch if you are donating after lunch tomorrow.

Drink plenty of water starting today and be sure to bring your photo ID with you.

Plan to refrain from strenuous activity for 24 hours after donating.

Attention Juniors and Seniors who will be 18 by November 5, 2024 and have not yet registered to vote. The AP Government students will be holding a voter registration drive during 4th and 6th lunches on Monday and Tuesday. Please bring your drivers license/state ID or your passport to lunch with you on those days and we will get you registered. Remember, the Catholic Bishops tell us that voting is our Christian responsibility. Let's all do our part!!

Remember that Juniors are required to report and take the SAT tomorrow. All other grades have the day off. Juniors, please check your email account for a message about Friday's SAT, including your room and proctor assignment. Please be sure you read and review this information before arriving for tomorrow's SAT test.

For those taking the SAT, please arrive by 7:45 and report promptly to your assigned testing room.

You should wear your school issued ID/Lanyard and Friday "Spirit" dress code is in effect.

You should bring two non-mechanical #2 pencils, optional calculator, and a snack/water bottle.

Electronic devices other than calculators are strictly prohibited in testing rooms and students will not be permitted to access lockers until the test has concluded.

Testing should conclude by 11:00 with busses departing by 11:30. Students with extra time may not finish until closer to 12:00.

Every role, including pilots, mechanics, flight attendants, line crew, air traffic controllers, and drone operators, among many others will have more openings than the work force currently provides. You can learn about the opportunities in aviation and get a head start on your education in the field by taking our dual credit class Principles of Aviation Management. Students who complete this course can also go on to take the advanced dual credit Private Pilot Theory course at Marian as well. Please join us in Room 203 during Homeroom period this week and next week to learn more about Marian's aviation programs. It is not too late to add this to your course elective requests for next year. Please speak to Mr. Donndelinger if you have any questions or are interested but cannot attend the Homeroom session.

We are very proud of you young ladies for representing Marian High School and our music department.

Are you friendly, outgoing, and active in the Marian community? Then come and help the Counseling Department with our incoming 9th grade registration event! We're looking for 20 students who would be willing to help incoming freshmen and their parents with their class registration appointments. All you have to do is escort them from the library to the cafeteria and introduce them to the teacher who will be scheduling their classes or help them sign their class banner and give out the Marian yard sign. The events are on Wednesday, March 6th from 4-6 pm and Saturday, March 9th from 9-1.

If you did turn in a ticket, you will be allowed to wear jeans/sweats and a team shirt as well as come to the Valentine's Day dessert party in BCAC during your lunch tomorrow. All eligible students will receive a sticker to wear in their 1st hour tomorrow.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to the Edith Stein Conference this coming weekend, February 9-10, at Notre Dame. The Edith Stein Conference was started in 2006 by students at the University of Notre Dame who wanted to spark dialogue about our culture's most pressing challenges and the unique role of women in the life of the Church. The conference is free, but a $10 registration fee will get you dinner and an ice cream social on Friday night and a banquet lunch and dinner on Saturday. See Mr. Smith if you have any questions.
