Polo Shirts and Outerwear

The Winning Edge is Marian High School’s new uniform vendor for polo shirts, outerwear, and skirts. The Winning Edge is located at 221 Rouch Place Drive, Rochester, IN 46975 and their Main Office can be contacted at 574-223-6090.

Please note for the upcoming school year, orders placed after June 30 may not be received by Student Orientation on Monday, August 10.
After you make your purchase and the store officially closes, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery to take place.
Orders will no longer be available for pickup at Marian.

Gym Uniforms

Please note that gym uniforms will need to be purchased through our Winning Edge webstore and not through the Marian Spirit Store.
We do have a limited amount of gym uniforms (in limited sizes) that can be purchased this summer. Please note there is not a guarantee that we will be able to provide your size options.

School Belles is Marian High School’s uniform vendor for plaid skorts and khaki pants. Skorts are available to try on in the main office.

Marian Spiritwear

Marian Spiritwear is available for purchase in the Marian Spirit Store in the Main Office during regular office hours or online at marianhs.org/store or at the link below.

Boys Dress Code

Shirts: Only polo or oxford shirts sold through Marian’s designated companies are to be worn. A uniform shirt must be worn at all times. Only solid color undershirts may be worn under the uniform shirt. The only shirts that will be sold are Marian blue, black, gray, and white. Other colors are currently permitted but will cease to be acceptable as of August 2026.
Outerwear: Approved Marian fleeces without pockets., ¼ zips, crew neck sweatshirts, or sweaters (crew neck, v-neck) purchased from the designated company may be worn over a uniform collared shirt. No hoodies may be worn unless it is a spirit day. Uniform fleeces with pockets will be phased out and will no longer be uniform items in August 2026.
Pants: Only solid khaki, navy blue or black dress pants may be worn. Pants must be worn at the waist, and must be free of holes, tears, or frays (this includes clothing with patches). Cargo pants are not permitted. Denim, yoga, or tight styles are not permitted. Students must wear a belt.
Shoes: Only dress or athletic shoes may be worn. Shoes must have toes and heels covered. Sandals, moccasins, Crocs, and slippers are not permitted.
Hair: Hair shall be clean, neat, and professional, and cannot be a distraction to the learning environment of the school. Hair dyed or highlighted an unnatural color is not allowed. Students may wear their hair shaggy but male students are not permitted to have pony tails or hair that goes beyond their collars or covers their eyes.
Facial Hair: Juniors and Seniors may have facial hair but will be neatly groomed and will not look unkempt. Freshman and Sophomores will be clean shaven. Students will also not be allowed to have designs shaven into the side of their heads nor have slits in their eyebrows.
Gym Uniform: All students must wear a Marian gym uniform for P.E. classes, which must be purchased through Winning Edge.
Miscellaneous Items:

Hats, sunglasses, and other accessories are not to be worn inside the school. Those who wear such items in school may have them taken away. Gauge earrings or other facial piercings including nose rings, eyebrow rings or facial piercings of any kind are not permitted during the school day.
Males cannot wear earrings or other facial piercings at any time during the school day.
Students who refuse to take out their earrings will be sent home and will receive an out of school suspension and a disciplinary hearing meeting will be held.
No exposed tattoos.
Males cannot wear cosmetic make-up at school including fingernail polish.

Skirts: Must be solid tan-khaki or navy blue, to the knee, and purchased from the designated companies. Solid black or white leggings or tights may be worn beneath a skirt. Skirts or dresses may not be any higher than 2’ above the knee. Any violations of this policy will be sent to Mrs. Weidner (Assistant Principal).
Shoes: Only dress shoes, dress boots, or athletic shoes may be worn. Shoes must have toes and heels covered. Heel height may be no more than two inches (2”). Sandals, moccasins, Crocs, and slippers are not permitted.
Hair: Hair shall be clean, neat, and professional, and cannot be a distraction to the learning environment of the school. Hair dyed or highlighted an unnatural color is not allowed. The same rules apply to any hair extensions.
Gym Uniform: All students must wear a Marian gym uniform for P.E. classes, which must be purchased through Winning Edge.
Miscellaneous Items:
- Cosmetic make-up may be worn, but cannot be extreme or distracting to the learning environment.

Dress Down Days Guidelines

Throughout the school year Marian holds special Dress Down Days for various reasons. Often, these days are used as fundraising events for causes important t the Marian community. Participating students are usually asked to bring monetary or in-kind donations, depending on the specific cause being supported. For example, a food drive may be held to assist the Food Bank of Michiana, and students would bring donations of canned goods.

On Dress Down Days, students will be notified of the specific dress guidelines that are allowed via announcements. In general, the following guidelines prevail. Students may opt to wear standard uniform dress.

Students may be permitted to wear sweats and/or shorts with a spirit wear top.
All clothes must be worn properly and must be free from tears, cuts, or holes.
No overly baggy, yoga, extra short, or tight styles are permitted.
The rest of the dress code still applies.

All-School Mass Guidelines

On special occasions such as ‘All-School Mass Days’ and other days as designated by the School's administration, formal uniform dress may be worn in place of the standard uniform.

Boys:

White or blue oxford dress shirt (short or long sleeve) with sweater (not sweatshirt) optional
Tie
Uniform slacks with belt
Optional - dress suit with white or blue oxford dress shirt and tie

Girls:

White or blue dress oxford blouse (additional sweater, not sweatshirt, optional)
Uniform slacks
Optional - skirt (knee length) with white or blue dress oxford blouse (additional sweater, not sweatshirt, optional)
Optional - dress (knee length) with modest neckline

Overall, clothing should be modest, clean, neat, and appropriate.

All School Mass dress is subject to change.

Students who do not meet the dress requirements will be sent home to change and the time that they missed would be considered unexcused.
