Knights In Need Program

We are pleased to announce that the 2025 outing raised over $24,000 for the Knights in Need program. These funds will continue to provide financial support, advice, and assistance to Marian families who have been financially impacted by the death, disability, or sustained illness of a family member.

At the dinner, Marian parent and grandparent Marty Fransted spoke of the support that Knights in Need provided to his son, Marian coach and parent Jason Fransted '96, in the wake of a cancer diagnosis:

When your child is diagnosed with cancer the first thing that you do is to find the absolute best treatment that is available. Once that is completed, you have lessened the stress on your child and your family. Then you realize that your child will not be able to work for 18 months. Now the stress level has gotten to a new high. Your child and his wife are now wondering how they are going to make their house payment, electric bill, water bill and pay for all the medicine and treatments.

And then God sends his angels, people from Knights in Need. They bring all their resources to help you and your family survive the stress and financial burden that cancer places on your family. When they are done putting a game plan in place, you and your family are just in awe as to how many resources that Knights in Need family has available. The kindness, generosity and prayerful people who support the Knights in Need are the people who make this world a better place.

The Knights In Need Program was established to help support members of the Marian family in times of crisis. The program provides advice and financial support to families who have experienced a death, disability, or sustained illness of a family member.

Through a network of professional alumni, families are able to find support, encouragement, and help during a critical time. Examples of services include assistance in setting up social security benefits, writing wills, providing handicapped accessibility and funding Marian tuition.
