Internships and Opportunities

Internships are programs in various organizations and companies that provide practical experience for beginners in an occupation or profession. Some internships are part-time, while others are full-time. Internships can be but are not always paid positions. Internships can occur at any time during the year, including summer months during school breaks.

Likewise, students can receive valuable skills training by holding a job during their high school years. Teens may have exposure to a wide array of trades, professions, and occupations, any of which may spark interest just as these students are seeking a career path. Time management, team work, dependability, work ethic, and confidence all arise from the experience of employment.

The Marian Counseling Department routinely receives information about available internships and jobs that can provide valuable exposure and experience to students. Regularly check the Counseling Department website pages for the most current list.
